Colket Center for Academic Excellence

The Colket Center for Academic Excellence was established in 2001 through a generous gift to Colorado College from the Colket Family. In an academic climate calibrated to challenge all students, the Colket Center facilitates student learning, cultivates intellectual community, and supports students in developing skills they can apply broadly across and beyond the curriculum. Each year Colket Center staff and peer tutors typically work with at least 90-91% of the student body at Colorado College. The Colket Center:

  • Supports student learning in, across, and beyond block courses
  • Cultivates students' academic skills, strategies, and resilience
  • Fosters intellectual community through collaborative learning, peer teaching, research, and scholarly inquiry

Land Use Acknowledgment

The Colket Center acknowledges that the land we are on today is the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Ute people. We value the voices and stories of the Native peoples of this region, and we are committed to forming relationships with the many Native tribes and individuals in the greater Colorado Springs community.
